About us

In 1998, three New England entrepreneurs founded our company to sell high quality shaft collars and couplings at competitive prices to wholesalers only, primarily power transmission, industrial supply and fastener distributors.

From the start, our intent has been to stock what our customers need, including RoHS compliant parts, and ship orders complete, accurately, on the same day. We’ve also offered custom manufactured specials.

In 2001, Collars and Couplings merged with Atlantic Fasteners a premier supplier of commercial and aerospace fasteners throughout the U.S. Two of the entrepreneurs remained with the company, including Dan Whalen who served as president until his retirement in 2009. Currently, John Kraus, Vice President of Sales for Atlantic Fasteners, oversees Collars. Collars and Atlantic share many of the same systems.

In 2005, Atlantic and Collars became 100% employee owned, which further benefits customers.

Sorry end users, we can’t sell to you
Instead we’ll refer you to authorized distributors in your area. If none exist, we’ll approach likely prospects about becoming distributors. That’s how we’ve built our business throughout the U.S. and Canada. If you’re a distributor interested in becoming authorized, click here.

Since our wholesale customers trust us, we often drop ship to their accounts, saving them handling and freight costs. It allows for faster service, which builds loyalty. And it can translate into increased business for everyone.

How we ensure 100% satisfaction
We replace, credit, and even refund orders when problems arise, which is rare. There’s never an argument. Never a complaint. Never a delay.

So, please contact us now
If you’re a wholesale distributor, phone, fax, or email us your requests. Or ask to be approved for online ordering.

No minimum purchase is required and we’re generous with the samples.
